Privacy Policy
This policy covers glendalestarsmog.com, the website of Brand Smog Check Center at 1717 S Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91204. It sets out what this site collects, why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted. It is short because the site does not do much with your information.

What we collect
Only what you type into a form. Three forms on this site collect information:
• The form on our home page asks for your name, phone number, your vehicle, and the service you need.
• The contact form on our Location page asks for your name, email address, phone number, a subject and a message.
• The coupon form on our Smog Discount page asks for your name and phone number.
Every one of those fields is one you fill in yourself. We do not ask for payment card details anywhere on this site — you pay at the counter when you come in. We do not ask for your driver’s licence number, your VIN or your registration document through the website.
Why we collect it
To reply to you and to arrange your visit. That is the whole purpose. If you send a question about your vehicle, we use your details to answer it. We do not add you to a mailing list from these forms, and we do not send marketing to people who filled one in.
Who else can see it
Form submissions are stored by the third-party provider that hosts this website, so that we can read them and reply. Nobody else receives them. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Advertising and cookies
Every page on this site loads a Google Ads tag. It sets cookies in your browser so that Google can tell us whether a visit or an enquiry came from one of our adverts, and it may be used to show our adverts again to people who have been here. It reports numbers to us, not names — we cannot use it to work out who you are.
You can stop it by blocking or deleting cookies for this site in your browser, or by turning off personalised advertising in your Google account. The site works normally either way.
The map on our Location page
Our Location page shows a map. The map images are fetched straight from OpenStreetMap by your browser, which means OpenStreetMap receives your IP address when that page opens. This happens on that page only, and nothing comes back to us from it.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with you and to keep ordinary business records. If you would like yours removed sooner than that, ask us and we will delete it.
Your rights in California
California residents have the right to know what personal information a business holds about them, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be treated any differently for exercising these rights.
We do not sell your information for money. The Google Ads tag described above may count as “sharing” for advertising purposes under California law — you can opt out of it by blocking cookies for this site or by turning off personalised ads in your Google account.

Children
This site is for vehicle owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

If we change this policy we will change the effective date at the top of the page. The version on this page is always the current one.
