What to bring
Bring your DMV renewal notice if one was mailed to you — it tells us whether your vehicle has been directed to a STAR-certified station. We accept both cash and cards. The smog check is $59.75 flat, with state certificate fees billed separately.
How long it takes
Most smog checks are finished in eight to fifteen minutes. Your result is transmitted electronically to the DMV within minutes of the test, so there is no paperwork to drive across town. A smog certificate stays valid for 90 days from the date it is issued.
